Established in 1994, Shanghai Qifan Cable Co., Ltd. (stock code 605222) has become an innovative wire and cable enterprise with strong research and development capacities after almost 30 years in the industry. The company has four large-scale production bases in Shanghai Jinshan, Chizhou in Anhui, Yichang in Hubei, and Minhang in Shanghai. In 2023, Qifan Cable plans to invest 2 billion yuan to build a submarine cable production base in Fangcheng Port. The company has set up two direct sales centers in Xi′an, Shaanxi, and Sanming, Fujian. It has more than 230 contracted dealers distributed across various provinces and cities in China. The company currently employs over 4, 500 people and has more than 3, 000 sets of advanced wire and cable R&D, production, and testing equipment at home and abroad. Its annual production capacity exceeds 30 billion yuan.
The company has obtained more than 150 national invention and utility model patents and has established close industry-university-research cooperation with Harbin University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Henan Institute of Technology, and other universities. In 2022, the company ranked among the top 10 competitiveness enterprises in the wire and cable industry of China, the Top 100 Shanghai Enterprises, and the top 500 national manufacturing companies. These include plastic insulated land and submarine power cables of 500kV and below, rubber-insulated wire and cable of 35kV and below, aerial insulated cables, overhead conductors, mining cables, shipboard cables, aeronautics and aerospace cables, nuclear cables, watertightness cables, fire-resistant cables, high-temperature resistant cables, extreme cold-resistant cables, offshore topside cables, control cables, computer cables, photovoltaic cables, turbine and wind farm cables, trailing cables, robot cables, elevator cables, electric vehicle cables, prefabricated branched cable, building wire, coaxial cables, LAN cables, and more. The company offers nearly 30 product series with nearly 4, 000 types and over 50, 000 specifications. Production Cable
Used across heavy industry including mining and marine, they must be robust and capable of handling both torsional and tensile stresses simultaneously. These mobile machines for lifting and handling are often manufactured with a robust rubber outer sheathing to protect against the constant reeling and movement as well as providing protection against oils and greases. Cables with Polyethylene (PUR) and PVC sheathing are also available. Cables to support operations are available in both low and medium voltages as required.
The cables are UV resistant - applications such as tower cranes and port loading gantries are subject to the elements - as well as being resistant to oils and greases. These cables are EMC screened as the cables are carrying loads and need protection from nearby electromagnetic interference. The cables remain flexible between -20oC and +70oC.
