Product Description

BS EN 50182 BS 3242 is a standard published by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) on the specifications and test methods of all aluminum alloy conductors (AAAC). The standard specifies the following:
- AAAC shall be of circular or compact circular cross-section and shall be classified according to parameters such as specified diameter, tensile strength, linear density, DC resistance, etc.
- AAAC shall be made from aluminum alloy wire of grade 1350-H19 or 6201-T81 and shall be fabricated to specified tolerances, mechanical properties, surface quality, etc.
- AAAC should be stranded according to the specified length, twist direction, lay length, etc., and ensure that the stranded is even and tight.
- AAAC shall conduct tests in accordance with the specified methods, including visual inspection, dimensional measurement, tensile test, DC resistance measurement, AC impedance measurement, etc., and comply with the corresponding limit values.
